CinemaScope projection theater in Boulder basement.

This basement game room was retro-fitted with a new projection theater featuring a 103″ high contrast CinemaScope screen and 7.1ch surround sound. Even though the ceiling is low at only 7′ we were still able to provide the large image the homeowner wanted by utilizing the wider 2.35:1 aspect ratio screen.

The projector is the panasonic PT-AE8000 that will automatically detect 16:9 or 2.35:1 content and zoom in or out to fill the screen appropriately. The audio is driven by the Onkyo TX-NR838 4K compatible reciever with speakers from Episode and Atlantic Technology. The whole system is intuitively controlled via the ProControl Pro24r universal remote.

All the wiring was able to be hidden in the walls and ceiling with no patching required.
